Rovaniemi Art Map

Rovaniemi Art Map was a part of a larger project funded by the EU and focusing on the development of new art-based tourism services for museums and art galleries in Lapland. The project was displayed as a part of TaPaMa's exhibition during Arctic Design Week 2021, in Kauppakeskus Revontuli in Rovaniemi.

I worked as a part of a team, alongside Tanja Koistinen (Finnish artist) and Victoria Mlakar (Austrian artist and fellow student). The project was done in collaboration with Galleria Napa and the challenge was to bringing attention to Lapland's artists and public art around Rovaniemi's city centre as well as galleries and museums. The key aim for our collaborator, Galleria Napa was to receive more visitors to the gallery.

My role within the team was to plan and map out the work process, finding research methods that fit into our frame of working. I also led on graphic design and layouts with the support and feedback of my team.

After a lengthy design process, interrupted by the C-19 pandemic, the project concluded with a pilot wherein the art map was put to the test with users and presented for feedback.
